Friday morning - back to the Yankee Parade crowd at Penn - all images posted were made near the staircase leading up to the Amtrak and New Jersey Transit level - people from New Jersey or 9th Av. are coming down the stairs.

On some images it is clear who is heading for the parade.

I like the light neat the this staircase and, also, I like photographing stairs. There is depth, slower movement and convergence of subjects. It is harder to hang out there, though, because while there I am, in essence, in the way traffic.

Monday, Monday...

A staircase from a photographic standpoint is very dynamic with strong angles and intersecting light.

Your photography should become paintings.

Enjoy the week,

Descending stairs always gives people a regal look, as if they are entering a royal reception area and are called out by name beforehand. Nora Ibsen, Duchess of the Netherlands.
