"take.n"

Blackberry sidewalk sampled - some Lisa NZ leaves and other "odds and ends" from Japan. Detail, below.

This is a redbud on our front lawn, one of my favorite spring flowering trees. Blackberry pic, again, this morning on way to the train.

Not much time for digital.art these days - I am working late many nights and have other pressing matters....alas.

Bird photography is difficiult - this photographer is amazing....I stumbled on it tryiong to identify a bird that my blog friend Jean Levert Hood had at her feeder. I cannot tell but am guessing the bird is a house finch.

The size of the picture is too small to get many details, other than size, behavior, and shape.

"sim.pler"

For Neda, who recently shut down her blog. She had a list of blogs and many of those who visit I met directly through her art, her poetry and her graciousness. Detail below, a small bouquet sent to Austin.

A simple study or a rushed day....my best.

"pine.lands"

One of my favorite parts of The Everglades is The Pinelands near the park entrance. A few feet above sea level, the area is drier and has pine groves as well as a lot of scrub and undergrowth including palmetto palms. I have seen eastern bluebirds and many species of warblers there. My first barred owl was up in a high old pine, sleeping. Marie and I have come back at night and heard whippoorwills calling.

This, again, sampled mostly from Eduard - Dutch in origin, still there is a hint of a Japanese rhododendron blossom towards the left hand side.

I have not been to Florida for a couple of years.

"how.bees.see"

Sampled form various photographs of the Dutch country side taken by Eduard Boessenkool, by way of Irene. Small version of larger file -a larger size detail is below. Thank you for the loan.

I understand honey bee populations are declining rapidly in the United States.

"twice"

Two cherry trees - each a beautiful photograph - one near Tokyo and another from The Netherlands at the cusp of Belgium. Blended on Long Island into an iced tea of sorts...intoxicating. Yes, and also an image of a magical small ball on a park bench.

Below, a detail. My best.

So, it is clear now that the Easter bunny has a day job, but does that mean the eco.no.my is getting better or worse?

Outside my window is a tree.

"once.scattered"

Back to Japan - the same tulip and Tokyo finds. Happy Easter, if you celebrate it.

Peace.

"van"

Lately all work, family, sleep, no play. I did take this photo out my office window - that is mid town Manhattan. Have a new Blackberry with a camera. Also downloaded on it a game of chess that I have yet to beat the machine.

"mi.chael"

Listening to early Flying Burrito Brothers and old Credence albums. For years I just had a two two "Chronicles" greatest hits and they just re-mastered the old discs so I bought three albums ("Born on the Bayou," "Green River" and "Willie and the Poorboys")that they put out all in 1969. I had all them in vinyl when in high school and for a few months they were my favorite band. I never listened to the Flying Burrito Brothers back then.

I highly recommend "Hot Burritos! The Flying Burrito Bros. Anthology 1969-1972" - great sound and value.

I also have been listening much for weeks to Beach Boys "Pet Sounds."

"one.morning"

I am dreaming of spring birds and of morning light - warm and refreshing. No time for art as of late. Thanks for your visits and comments. Fighting of the flu.
