"red.winged.blackbird"

Another Sue O'Kieffe sample with elements from my son Greg's Christmas tree lights experiment. Artificial tree and nature merged. Nature and ritual reunited. A rectangular circle for the geometry challanged.

I expect a red winged black bird to sing any minute.

ho.ho.ho

Sacred Circle marsh, color and contrast altered for manipulation.

BTW, an esp portrait of me in southern hemisphere. Toilets flush counter clockwise there due to the spin of the earth.

Lovely marsh image and what a lively delightful light experiment. Great job Greg!

John, I like what you've done here. Beautiful color and composition.

I love how you picked out the flower heads (?) and made them a feature. The almost look like micro-organisms on a slide in a lab.

Glad the portrait didn't cause offence and was taken in the fun way intended:)

Oh I do love the red-winged blackbird. Once I saw a whole flock (usually they are mixed with other blackbirds) and when it turned a new direction all those red wings popped. I'll never forget it.

I love what you have done with Sue's marsh and I love Gregg's light show. Put it in more art work, it's great.

And I just read the comments on your portrait and agree whole heartedly that you must post a photo so we can see...but first we should have a contest to see who can come the closest...

red.winged.blackbird is very beautiful, John. I can't sing its praises high enough, I am quite taken with it, to the point that I would find it sacrilegious to steal it and alter it in any way.

The arrangement is so satisfying and the colors so enjoyable, that I would not change a thing about it.

Sometimes everything goes just right and you have a little masterpiece. The inspiration and skill and talent are there all at once and you produce something like this, and that is what it is all about. A gratifying and delectable bit of art!

You can't hide behind those marches, John. Too late now! If you don't want to answer another moimoi, you gotta show us your mugshot or else!! :)
