"non.fact"

Made from two refresh snapshots:

Lovely quilt-like. I'm thinking of fabric. Where is that Thomas Edison puppet? Can we see?

You saw my test this a.m. I'm having trouble with Firefox on my Mac. I can't see my page at home so I'm thinking others are having trouble too. I threw the test out there to see if it was a problem with the earlier post and to no avail.

Thank you always for the visit and kind words.

"non.fact" is in fact very well done, although I don't see how you managed to make it from the two refresh snapshots, but that is the secret of the smith and not for me to understand. I think we all need to keep the secret of how we ultimately come to make our images to ourselves, and I am not joking about that.I mean that seriously.

I do very much like the colors you used and the almost uniformity of them, although there is that slight hint of purple in there and that gives it a nice touch and the somewhat brighter blue, but just a touch of it.

I can only say that I see a lot of certainty in your work lately, as if you've come to be very sure of yourself and what you are after. It's also a matter, of course, of me getting to understand your work better and becoming acquainted with your style. It has grown on me and become better.

Don't make some smart allicky remark about that, John

hi John
the slash of burgundy fits well within the whole...
like the linear extracts very much...
I can soooo see this in grand scale on huge expansive...white walls !!

I like the way you taken literal straight lines on a screen and made something non.factual figurative; one could imagine reflections on water or shapes seen through a mist.

John, I have seen this repeatedly with your work: it is as if you have put a tension or static into it consciously. Something hidden you are hinting at. This adds such an interesting element to each piece. I loved it with the egrets, it was ominous. Is it just me, or is there a deeper vibration, like an undertow, a darker thing here? It's not all light and surface, there's another side.

I love non.fact! The colours are great. And somehow, from a bit of a distance, it looks like some parts of it are actually shiny. Very well made!

Thanks everyone for your kind words.

Tension for me arises trying to find order in choas. Some recent images have been staid in comparison.

Lisa recently posted that her recent work - fragile - was not intended to be "pretty.". I have yet to cross that boundary here other than hidden easter eggs, if I may.

Somehow I have hurt my lower back and I may not be able to sit at computer and create much. Bummer, but not serious.

I hope your back gets better soon, because we will miss you not being able to sit behind the computer. Oh, how very selfish of me! Get better soon.

Hi, this is Jesus. I have come to John Mora's quilts on the recommendation of God.

This one reminds me of the walking on water, and the shapes I saw beneath me, possibly of the loaves and fishes.

I would like to leave this with Kris: I am the light in the darkness.
