This is a botched "image" - bad scan with off color and part of image cut off, but I thought I would post something....I do wish it were better quality.

The print is 8 by 10 inches. Original graphics is here. The reference to pain killers is that I had broken a rib, slipped and landed on my iPod.

An iPod is tougher than bone, sometimes. iHurt, therefore iAm.

Close up from this "painting:"

BTW, please go to Sue's blog to see the Mandalas she created sampling one of my quilts. I respect her art and I would blush if it were more manly. It's here. I am very very happy to collaborate with gifted artists in our community. I am so happy to have met you. Thank you, Sue.

Also, Kris yesterday also gave me a "Day" award. It is a great honor and I want to acknowledge her site, her art and her will. Go here to experience her positive energy, her resourcefulness and her wit. She also taught me how to spell clairvoyance (ok, I fixed it with spell check). Thank you, Kris. Someday a mon.key.

This image doesn't look off to me either. It looks like a still from a movie. An action musical. Love the woven effect, and the paint on top. You create such movement and texture with this technique, and it's so interesting that you can use images from all over and completely transform them.

Thank you for the kind words, John! I am looking forward to receiving a mon.key. Can't wait to see how you design it!

oh go ahead and blush. im sure its very becoming on you!

the colors in your painting(s) totally intrigue me and melt me on a sensory level. i too have difficulty understanding what your criticism is on your side but know that the differences in monitors and graphics cards, etc can make things like this hard to decipher. I like how you are playing though.

keep it up. hugs.are.allowed.

I am very sorry to hear about the damage sustained from your i-pod. Hopefully the pleasure you get out of it outways the damage it has caused you. They are tough powerful little things, so doubtless came out of it better than you lol One of the few advantages of being small, flat and square lol

A broken rib does not sound very nice, very painful. I admire you for still creating inspite of it. Best wishes for a speedy recovery.

This close-up is very intriguing. It reminds me of the magic eye. If you stare at a point for some time other imagery becomes more pronounced. Very cool! The collaboration between your imagery and Sue's mandalas is outstanding. But what more would you expect from two very talented people.

Thanks for your comments -

Sue with purely digital work I accept that each computer sees the colors and contrast differently. I consider that one beauty of the crap shoot that is digital art.

With the paintings it becomes about control and here to me tones here truly matter....I may be a control freak, but paintigns are like like my little babies....

Bev, my broken rib was last year - all I have left are some pain killers tablets. To these I just say "no," most every day.

Hi John,

I particularly like the close-up. I agree it is similar to magic eye. I like it a lot. I am glad that your rib has healed and I hope you blush.

A suggestion ... I keep track of "my" blogs (and you are one of my blogs) through a reader. It would be easier to know what is going on if you titled your posts ... then it would not be a long list of "untitled." Thanks for considering.

Congrats on the award from Kris too.
