This is impressive and beautiful act of creation. Someone calls into NPR, sings a phrase of a song, and then classical pianist, Gabriela Montero, improvises. Click here then click the "Hear the Session" speaker icon. Will take you Bach.

All Montero improvisations on NPR can be found here, for now. She even tackles "Take Me Out to the Ballgame," our baseball game war horse. I hope you enjoy it.

Here's a great phrase I learned in art school, when showing a new piece off to somebody: "It's supposed to be like this." So you're right on there!

Here's another, "It's an experiment."

I thought your typos were part of your creative process. :-)

I like iTunes because I seem to only listen to my iPod lately. We have a playing dock for it, and I can also plug it into the TV sound system.

Got to love NPR! and now I must go to Amazon and purchase Gabriela Montero. I was amazed they were both from Park Slope and rode the same train. Living parallel lives. Sad ending for the songbird and I liked the unsual sound of the song.
