Please check out Mick's Sunday post for his interpretation of one of my recent subway blackberry photographs. Thank you, Mick, for your art and your kind words. So glad we dialogue regularly. We should continue to collaborate.

Greg playing his Gibson SG guitar yesterday in our living room - nice and loud. SGs were used by Eric Clapton, Peter Townsend of The Who, and Carlos Santana. I never played, but guitar craftsmanship is a quasi-automated art form.

I like going to music stores. They have replaced my time spent in record stores, which no longer exist around here. Netflix and DVD pirating also have killed all local video stores.

The times they are a changin'.

From the day I dropped my Melody Maker and bent the darned neck, it never sounded the same - because it wouldn't stay in tune! Oh well ... this reminds me of my EP project. Perhaps I'd better get to work on it.

Those photos made me think of Purple Haze!

Oh, poor you! We still have record and video stores, although much of the merchandise in done on the net. Luckily here are some enthusiastics who still believe in shops and keep them.

Last time I visited Turku, I bought Arlo Guthrie's Alice's Restaurant, just found it on the self! Also vinyls are sold nowadays in Finland, especially younger people find them very cool.

these images brought back memories of when my artist son who lives in Brooklyn now, had a band in high school. he played the drums and they practiced in our garage--- loudly--- but well worth it. your images provoke memories.

Nice Red Guitar!

Today the song in my mind is the Jet Lag Blues, some slow rifts that put me to sleep at hours that I should be up, and keep me up at hours that I should be asleep.

Happy end of summer days...
