"once.velvet.was.under.ground"

"Jenny said when she was just five years old
There was nothing happening at all
Every time she puts on a radio
There was a nothin' goin' down at all, not at all
Then one fine mornin' she puts on a new york station
You know, she couldn't believe what she heard at all
She started dancin' to that fine fine music
You know her life was saved by rock 'n' roll
Despite all the amputations you know you could just go out
And dance to a rock 'n' roll station

It was alright
It was allright
Hey baby you know it was allright

Jenny said when she was just by five years old
You know y parents gonna be the death of us all
Two tv sets and two cadillac cars -
Well you know it ain't gonna help me at all
Then one fine mornin' she turnss on a new york station
She doesn't believe what she hears at all
Ooh, she started dancin' to that fine fine music
You know her life is saved by rock 'n' roll,
Despite all the computations
You could just dance to a rock 'n' roll station

And baby it was allright
And it was alright
Hey it was allright
Hey here she comes now!
Jump! jump!

It was allright"

I like your mix of music with the box.
So true about NY radio stations.
Once I was all the way in the south of Japan and I was in a nic=nac shop in a train station (Kagoshima) and they were playing WPLJ, live from NY. I couldn't leave the shop. Looked at every nic-nac in there and I don't even like nic=nacs. It was the music.

(Smiling through a mask, still congested)

Thanks for looking for something in Bellmore. Glad it was butter and not margarine:)

Can you imagine there not being any rock and roll, or some derivative of it? My life would not be the same. And I am not talking about pop music! My mother did us the pleasure of liking rock and roll, so we were never deprived. She was especially fond of Bill Hailey and Jerry lee Lewis.

This song---
I heard it yesterday in a dressing room at Gap!
My daughter was trying on clothes (window shopping with the added fun), and I was having an allergy attack on the bench. Breathing into a eucalyptus-infused hankercheif;
When suddenly on the BGM
I heard these lyrics about Jenny and the rock'n roll clearly piped into that space!
Kind of surreal/blog post to a moment.

Best,
