"pond"

Found and manipulated photograph of a beaver pond. I like the sensibilities of this blog, created by a naturalist who focuses on botany. Botanists are usually smart. It is always my job to generalize.

Joan's blog will lead you to a nice community of naturalists - one is a birder from southern California. Thanks, Joan, for allowing me to post this image.

I have very much enjoyed reading this posting, and also the blog which you mentioned. I think botanists must be clever, because I am thinking of all those books they have to read and all the names they have to remember lol

I think this work (in its textures) gives a feeling of the ripple of the pond water as the beaver swims.

I have an interest in beavers because my name means 'Of the beaver meadow'.

I am always surprised at your interest in the natural world, as if that is not possible for a maker of modern art! Silly of me to think it, I know!

This reminds me of etchings in very old biology books about the natural world around us. A description of the new world with illustrations anno 1749 or something.

A truly gifted artist you are. Bis.

I agree with Irene this has a vintage quality about it. I see a lovely birds nest, cattails and reeds blowing in the wind. Beaver pond extreme makeover edition. Thanks for the link to Joan's blog. One of these days I'd like to get to Joan's neck of the woods, and explore this area. I've read alot about it and I envision great beauty in this region.
