"day.light.saving"

A larger image - here reduced - based on Andrea's backyard Eucalyptus tree and snippet of my Everglades. So, here is a combination of almost the Gulf of Mexico and almost the Gulf of California. A continental devide morphed.

Worked on using Paint.net and larger photo files so can be blown up larger. Earlier drafts and more (red.undant) information below.

Above are small versions of larger files made while working with MS Paint, Paint.net and MS Office Picture Manager. I really like Picture Manager and this is the best I have worked with Paint.net (which is going to be a program that replaces MS Paint if I want to work with larger files). Paint still does some things (overlay in particular) I have not found elsewhere....

The exploratory drafts below were done with MS Paint and MS Office Picture Manager. I do not have a large file for these images. So, maybe I am just playing in the mud and praying for more sun and warmth.

I like where I am going these days. Fewer comments, but I like the group I found and do not plan to enlarge my circle by venturing to other blogs. My best.

the tree makes a very striking motif John and the final image works so well with the brown....

I am glad to have made it back again today after such a long time away. I am also glad your not posting every day or I wouldn't have a hope of catching up!
These trees are so calming. I really like the trees with the rust brown sky, but I couldn't pick a favourite. You work is so crisp and clear I like the whole image that's been intergrated with broken images. A bit like weaving a nest!

I looked at these pictorial progressions and was instantly in love with these unique and varied manipulations. I'm not familiar with the some of these apps, it sounds like your finding your way around, and figuring what feels comfortable. This is a good feeling.

Just realized it was my tree and wondered why I was so drawn to the image. I look at images first and then read words.
Silly girl.

Lovely, pastoral. Sending email.
