"blue.fish"

Smaller version of large paint.net image - made from a photo I took of goldfish in a tank in upscale plant nursery - fish for sale to end up in serene garden pools and then possibly a midnight raccoon snack.

Raccoons are our neighborhood rats, actually wintering in our sewers. They really like our family's garbage cans, but do not touch the ones directly across the street.

I no longer like raccoons, but as a pre-teen loved a book called Rascal. That and Old Yeller.

I once saw an Osprey at Cape May migrating south carrying a two foot goldfish carp in its talons. If it was a Japaneese poi it was a huyndred dollar meal, easy.

blue fish flying in the dead of night...

a friend of mine once told me a story of fly fishing...casting out the line...a strike...and then another when an osprey swooped down, grabbed the trout, and took off, not even being phased by the gentle snap of the fishing line...and away he went with fish and fisher's favorite fly neatly tucked in its talons...

smart birds, those falcons

They look quite like fish in a box to me. Those goldfish do have quite small containers so no wonder they are blue.

We recently had floods in Hull, and which flooded many garden ponds and apparently many koi carp just swam away in the floods, much to the chagrin of their owners, no doubt, as they are quite expensive, but at least the fish got the taste of freedom for a while.

Sue's story reminds me of one occasion in Scarborough when my husband was eating fish and chips on a wall and a seagull swooped down and took the chip straight out of his hand. Entirely true.

I love these blue fish swimming away in their imaginary (rectangle) pond. The colors please me and I think this is one of my favorites that you have done.

I think you are secretly exporting blue fish to Lisa in New Zealand in plain brown cardboard boxes, but the water keeps leaking out. Blue fish need high oxygen content water.

My uncle and aunt used to live on Bodmin Moor. They made a lovely little lake and filled it with fabulous flashing fish. They were visited by a handsome healthy heron. End of fishy fable.
After that, they were no longer as honoured by the visits of the heron.
