Penn, subway then MoMA, Friday. The V train ran on E line - different cars with muted fluorescent lights. Greener. Man sitting before a Kadinsky ad at the Guggenheim.

Soccer weekend - one practice, three games.

The Yankees won a five hour playoff ball game last night, the game ending with cold pouring rain. Raining right now.

The man in the blue jacket is it. Too bad he is sitting so inelegantly. Not at all posed right for a good portrait photo. Men do have a tendency to sit with their legs wide spread. I'm sure it has some cultural meaning. Or should that be sociological? Those damn Yankees!

The first and particularly the last in this post are quite amazing. Is this funhouse mirror effect controllable?

I just opened up Kandinsky book Concerning the Spirtiual in art and whatever page it opened picked a quote for you!---here's the one I found...
After talking about the outer meaning of form, the separating line between surfaces of color, he says it (form) also has an inner meaning:
"the arist is the hand which, by playing on this or that key (i.e., form), affects the human soul in this or that way. So it is evident that form-harmony must rest only on a corresponding vibration of the human soul; and this is a second guiding principle of the inner need."

I know, the guy on the subway in front of the Kandinsky poster was probably thinking of the Yankees, but what could I do, it was my inner need to take out the book when I saw that blue next to that orange ...:)
