Outside Penn, in Penn, on train, at elevator on hometown platform on a cold rainy evening. T'was the Friday evening commute for me. Party time for last subject, above, heading into Manhattan on an 8 o'clock train.

So much better to venture into Manhattan to enjoy the night than to go there to work.

I need to experiment with new techniques. It is easy to fall into patterns. You need to see, freshly - experiment. To to try conjure moments when one is more lucid and also working in "good light." Creating can become a form of meditation.

So much in image making involves the quality of light. I walked to Penn Friday and will post some images near Times Square soon.

It is easy to fall into trap of "forcing" "reasonably decent" images and then finding satisfaction in this short changing exercises. The horror is boredom, losing interest compounded daily. New locations help.

Have a great day. It is raining here and cooler.

The 3rd image speaks to me and the last is hauntingly beautiful. Could it be the season? I seem to be interpreting, and working on, a number of images that seem fit for Hallowe'en.

Fascinating blurring of boundaries in differrent variations, some where the shapes almost completely blur into each other, some where there is an edge that seems to be on the edge of becoming something els, and then like in the second from bottom, the woman sitting, not realizing she is about to be de-constructed by the light of your lens and turned into the space around her. It's like the moment of clarity before the dissolve...
happy weekend to ya

The colours are cool here, lots of grey and blue and white. Feels like winter with a slight hint of spring. The light patterns are lovely, very calm.

I'm with Mick on the 3rd one.

Creating is most definitely a form of meditation. I am one with One when I take photos. Hardly a thought in my brain. Just happy eyes.

Love this series. Third one reminds me of the bogeyman. Maybe it's just my state of mind.:) First and last are favorites. Can you shoot in sepia or black and white with BB?
Your kind words are felt across the miles.

"Can you shoot in sepia or black and white with BB?"

Those are options I have not done - tghe BB has horrid contrast in the lkight I shoot and B&W might look like oatmeal.

I have always thoguht of shooting in sepia as a gimmick trap for me - I might be wrong.

Thanks, everyone for your comments.

John, this one has a Francis Bacon feel. Good stuff.
