"reborn"

Pulled out of the ashes - a little old phoenix.

Feel like in a bit of a rut....so posting multiple images.

"go.fish.scales"

This one has been sampled into oblivion and mostly samples are in the ether - there are traces of Kris' video heart....

"choices"

There are so many choices in pursuing art - whether it be music, dance, painting. Sometimes we fail. We as artists compete always with Investment Bankers. Lawyers. Thieves.

Sometimes it is easier to judge than to survive. Live long and prosper.

This is mysterious and provocative, I really like it. Really, really.

3 hours of WWE wrestling tonight, YAY! .. I don't have a hope of getting the remote. But will watch out for wasps. Thanks for the tip-off. You are very kind:)

I like "reborn" very much, it is elegant and understated and beautiful in color, as if it is made of old copper that has been polished just a little bit. It is a phoenix, indeed, in more ways than one.

I think with the other two, you were possibly just messing around, excuse me if I am mistaken. Just a humble observer's opinion.

Have a great day, John.

John- Fantastic

you are not in a rut, this experience you are feeling is growth. Embrace it, my friend.

..we interrupt this regular programming...

I'm coming back because I have more to say about these pieces but want to spend more time with them.

Man, those ashes look well raked, and ready for rebirth. In fact, I have never seen ashes so well prepared and ready for rebirth, with just a hint of other life about the edges. Hope you are soon out of your rut.

The Phoenix

It's only the Phoenix, don't be scared. It's not like it's Jesus, or anything.

John, I just, for pleasure sake, browsed through your "selective pancakes" and am again reminded of how really good you are. Don't hide your light under a bushel! Although I would like to keep you a well kept secret, I don't think I should. Go out there with your work!

Thanks everyone - maybe not The frickin' Phoenix.

Irene, I always appreciate your honesty. Babaloo, your trees and natuire phjotos are amazing.

Okay I'm back...geesh, I thought I'd get here sooner but no dice too wrapped up at work no time to stray.

I like "choices" there is movement and mystery, windswept comes to mind.

go.fish.scales - reminds me of the Matisse cutouts period. It's lively, colorful and quiltlike.

"reborn"- really struck a chord with me because it reminded me of the fires this past October and pretty much summed up how the fires looked all around us. There is great beauty in this one.

Wonderful John- hope you and yours have a great weekend.
