"jane"

Kim of laketrees provided image of dancer - I played a bit with it this morning, The link I added is to her poetry site. I seek to confuse and otherwise illuminate. Play hide and seek. Spin the bottle. Sip decent wine. Add great songs to my iPod. Have the kids sleep late.

Rainy day here. Buckets fell overnight and will fall again today. Finally got to the flower show and the cut back on the plantings. Bought sugar snap and sunflower seeds. Also some hyacinths that barely pushing out to the potted soil.

Kim also raises an interesting question at her art blog - should portraits be representational - a good likeness of the subject? Is it more about the subject or the artist?

Removed my word verification for comments - I hope this pleases everyone. But, also somehow removed my Microsoft Accessories programs which includes - gulp - Paint so I am a wingless duck right now. Need to get disks form guy who built my computer.

I downloaded a program called Paint.net, but it has other features- the worst issue is I can only have one image open - no multiple windows. Other tricks are missing or hidden....some features are better than old Paint so might be able to use this as a third important tool.

Bummer.

I like minus word verification better also, I removed mine some time ago.

Jane is dancing in some nostalgically negative colors and woods and I wonder how to alter this image when I do. A very tricky one indeed. I see one spot of pink, but it is not enough for me and would be cheating.

I hope you get your Microsoft Accessories programs back soon. I don't want you to be a wingless duck for too long.

I hope you didn't lose MSPaint by trying to remove verification. Geesh..was I the only one who hated word verification. I'm leaving now with my tail between my legs, I feel bad and my name is in light and and it isn't a good light. :(

John you needn't give a hoot about what I think or anyone else for that matter with what tool you choose to utilize on your blog, please don't remove it on my account. I'll keep my trap shut.

Lovely image, haunting, electrifying.

I believe portraits should be more about the artist and what the artist desires to convey.

I hope you find the Paint Gods soon!

Ohh sorry - I am happy to take off verification - the two are not interconnected - the loss of Paint was me being duumb with no undo capability.

Lisa still has verification and wil be tormented by me. A non verification meme?

I am now a true non beleiver. Crusader.

Jane looks like a golden goddess of Dance...
you have captured her inner light..
I will show Rose this ...I love the juxtaposition of contemporary elements with nature...
I hope your program can be restored...
art vs technology...a never ending chaos...

the red reminds me of dancing until the blood came through my point shoes...the red shoes...and the pain of dancing on shattered glass...

I knew that already - how could you like ballet when you prefer games like "eat my shorts." Those words are fighting words in America, Lisa.

Thanks everyone, for your most kind words and insights. Much appreciated.

Hello John,
Nice to be back and see all this amazing work you've been doing! I'll send you some Vegas pics if you like. I have some I won't be posting on my blog, but that are fun.

Love the RED here! And the subtlety of the dancer, and the repeated imagery with a foot. Nice!
