Not bad for a fast hip shot, you weren't aiming at all, were you? I don't know what to make of it. It looks like very brittle candy, like caramel in the color purple. I want to reach in and break it into pieces and have some. If people want to eat your art, that is good, isn't it?
nora's comment makes me hungry. wonder how pitcher plants feel when flies buzz 'round. i like how there is the peek of original color along with the purple..nice contrast... ~sue
I'm with Bev. It reminds me of the reveal you get scratching through layers of colored wax. I love these colors and the light textural, organic quality of this image.

Purple and lilac carpet of dreams...very lovely!
Reminds me of stratching wax to reveal the myriad colours behind. (We did this at school, don't know whether it's the same in the US)
Its Summer on your blog.
