So, I paid $30 and registered three picture in the LA digital art competition....the ones I had thought of submitting. Last minute too and luckily PhotoShop 7 allowed me to bring down the images to about 2 MB each with good images quality - what the website wanted.

Big pic of Saturday's rainbow at the beach - not a great picture, but nice to see,

"no.doze.firehose.study"

Little time these days - expect the coming weeks to be difficult to find creative time. I know I keep saying that, but it is truer each day....this one again use a lost luggage challange snippet.

I do need a weatherman (somedays) to know which way the wind blows....

"fountain.spirea"

This started out being a lost luggage challenge using PS 7 and ended up being caressed by paint.net which I know and kind of like it because I have used it a bit...familiarity breeds affection.

Mother's Day here - a lovely day and spirea is in full bloom. Cherries flowers are down and dogwood and redbud are fading to leaves. Azaleas, particularly the most common kind, are in fluorescent high voltage splendor.

Leaves are like a savings account. Blooms are like a credit card - all the thrills of instant gratification.

The soccer pic is of my daughter, Mariana...they do not wear uniforms when they practice. Mariana won again today, and she made a goal but it got called back because another kid fouled. Alas.

Mariana near spirea, yesterday after her practice.

Across the Pond from Frances (good name for a rock album, if they still made albums) I learned about a Lost Luggage (good name for a indie band) challenge - go here....I used PhotoShopNot...aka MS Paint.

Software rule broken - sorry. Rules were meant to be spoken.

Another image created with the glass apple from the challenge. This one created with overlays of two of the drafts in first challange post below.

"beirut.bubbly"

Listened to Neda, in opriginal post the bottom left was busy - so I worked on it....a military exercise before I invade we.wait.

I am tired of sitting around, being deadly afraid of Weapons of Mass Distraction ("WM,huh").

Other pic is an apple with a blog screenshot, see below.

"everything.has.a.bar.code.price"

I take screenshots where I move the web page down while still loading - I love to do this and capture accidents, when fate hugs me. Demo.lition.

Need a quick trigger.

"apple.white.berry"

Back to the apple. Back to Beatles records and to iPods. Get back.

This image I noticed on my blackberry on the commuter train - image is an example, below. But now flipped on its back, cropped and with a slight sun tan. Long Island Rail Road revelation while sitting backwards and going forward.

Bubbles, air trapped forever. Probably toxic - maybe a trace of lead. No, the bubbles are happy thoughts in a little blog.toon.

Last draft, which I still like, possibly better - not sure if bottom is distracting or makes the image more complex. What do you think?

For first time I am in a challenge.

Done using MS Paint and also MS Picture Manager to impact tones and contrast and crop. Mostly good old Paint. The apple is at the bottom right and the rest done just with apple image and some typing - that may also break a rule.
