interest.ing

The brown, what I 'know' is hair, becomes a stripe down the left. Another dark triangle sits in the right corner, bottom, and the shape that I also 'know' to be lips float in the flesh.
What I like about the way you work is that it makes me "know" less.
Do you know the book called "Freedom from the known?".

(PS my images are scanned. I look forward to see what you do with gee I'm a tree)

Thank you for your comments.

This is a closeup (print screen) altered image off internet.

Using words and an attractive subject is sort of like shooting ducks in a bar.rell.

I see this as graphic art - almost an advertisement.

On another level I am playing with the fuzziness of the anti photograph. Using blurry photography to emulate painting. This was done at a( cusp of the 20th century until Steichen and Weston et al pushed phtography to details.

The words are a nod to pop art which was a nod to mad.ison ave.now which mirrored post war American values and myths.

I appreciate the "pearl" reference. I will look up the book.

This looks like Salome, doing the Dance of the Seven Veils to me.

The typing has a veilly effect.

Ahh yes, very Madison Ave. Remind me of health and beauty ads. Words look like shower water.
