"pax.redux"

Bev pic tossed and turned and taste of mascara added from NZ sky and NZ trees.

Lunch today at MOMA - overall unispired drawing exhibit with some nice pieces, including collages. Excellent photographic exhibit from museum's collection - many masters - Brasai, Weston, Adams, Steichen, et al. Gorgeous black and white prints with details in light and shadow.

Bev sampled here, again, as she leaves blogsville, bummed - blogging is sort like a tour of duty - bloggers (new recruits) come, you befriend them and make art along side them and then they leave (disappear)....maybe me too someday a casualty of internet banditos or burn out

What do you do when half the blogs you list are inactive for more than a few months? And some are from the bloggers who first welcomed you? Hang on, because....then, suddenly you get surprised....

Oh, well. Ephemeral flowers. Are there any other kind? Annuals, perennials, biennials.

i will miss bev too. I have a lonely tour round each day, breathing on people's windows, rubbing the dust off and trying to peer in to see if they are around...
I started off with Debi and her lovely family - then Rima and Neda, Irene and Bev and now - of that crowd I see only one who has changed identity, one who has crowds of admirers and the rest are hardly around. But DEBI is BACK - and don't you go wanting to be alone. I will be pounding on that basement door. Gre.ta.gar.bo.go

artificial ones last well... silk paper, wood, plastic, wax, glass.....

Nothing worse than plastic flowers tucked into an outdoor garden.

I have come to accept plastic flower wreaths and even our Christmas tree (that last one was hard and wifely concession.

I love a marsh, but a well tended garden with succession of blooms and foliage is important. Foliage is underrated. I wish I had the time and money to explore evergreens.

We need an english garden pic blog....

Reduced peace or a reduced piece? You comic! How do you say "three piece suit" in Latin? This is what it is in Italian: un vestito di tre parti. Close enough, don't you think?

I love the colors in this work, John. Wish I could have gone to MOMA with you. My art has ground to a standstill, pretty soon it will be going backwards, uphill.

It looks like I've missed some wonderful art. I'll have to stroll back in time and put my 2cents to things. Haven't been well, but now on the mend.

People will come and go. It sure would be nice to know when they are departing for good, at least a farewell so we are not left wondering. I don't like wondering or wandering aimlessly.

If I ever decide to leave blogsville, you will know because I'll tell you so.

Must go see what I've missed. Wish I had lunch at the MOMA.

Sorry to hear that Bev is leaving us, she'll be missed.

I hope you are well and enjoying Spring.
