Not much time today - but go here - to see light and a clear vision. Sue's mandalas are exquisite and have an internal energy that simply, well, illuminate.

Tomorrow my twelve year old son goes to his first school dance. I remember when he was so small and would wave continuously goodbye to me as I walked down the street heading for the train. I can still hear the song sparrows, full of life and all that is good about morning light.

We live for those days.

My best.

I don't claim to understand this one or the title, but it does make for an interesting image. I think I am a little thick skulled this early morning. Must have been the sofa I slept on.

i love the texture of this piece but don't understand the title either...what do you expect from an artist who excels in abstraction? *grin*

Such a sweet story.Priceless, hang on tight to those wonderful memories.

I will take close up pic for you of the fern, which is actually a small ponga tree. The NZ tree fern you liked from another post. Not that I actually need an excuse! lol

My best to you also.

Great work. At first glance I thought it was actually cut paper collage. There is some real eye trickery going on here. I've seen textural images before but not quite like this one.

I hope your little one has a great first dance experience as for his Dad may there be many more cherished memories.

Keep smiling.

They are altered leaves in a creek - sort of tannin tea process. I borrowed the original image a while agop no t sure where and then it is changed quite a bit, honestly.

Good name for a rock band - the.altered.leaves.

guest who? oooo first dance. Have you given him fatherly advice?
My Mum's advice to me was as follows "Remember how difficult it is to go up to someone and ask them to dance. So if someone asks you to dance, dance with them. If you don't really like them, say thank you at the end of the song and go and sit down again." The best advice. I was always asked to dance, because I never refused to.
He will always be your kid, even when you're old and he has to take care of you!

My mums advice was that the only people who should be Anonymous are those that cannot spell that word and need to cut and paste it.

I have figured out the Anonymous person based on a careful quick analysis of post times.

Sometimes I am nine-tenths as dumb as I look....

LOL

I didn't want to scare you by being too mysterious... as you are only a boy, so a sensitive soul.
But be careful, I might be more untrapped any.mouse next time.

It's been a long time past needing to get busy here today for me, but I've been blissfully distracted.

Your work continues to grow and amaze. I have no right to be, but I'm proud of you, John.
