We are helping little Pola from Poland to raise the funds to save her life…
Pola Maria Wesołowska is a cheerful 4-year-old girl from Poland. She fell ill with cancer when she was 9 months old. Since then she has spent half of her life in hospitals. In December 2007 she had an operation and eye excision. Unfortunately the fight with her disease is not over… Pola needs a special treatment which she could not find in Poland. At the moment she is staying in a clinic in Düsseldorf (Germany) with her parents. However, the treatment is very expensive and not refundable from the Polish National Health Fund. The cost of one treatment cycle is 12 thousand euro and Pola needs at least six such cycles.
For saving Pola’s life, time and money are very important.
We are calling for help to everyone who can support Pola financially.

EVEN A SMALL SUM OF MONEY MATTERS

Please use the following bank account number:
Fundacja Dzieciom "Zdążyć z Pomocą"
nr konta: Bank Pekao S.A. I O/ Warszawa
41 1240 1037 1111 0010 1321 9362
SWIFT: PKOPPLPW
With annotation:
(darowizna na leczenie i rehabilitację Pola Maria Wesołowska)

Please pass the call for help to your family and friends. We cannot let money be the barrier between life and death…

I don't think it's a spam because the proof is if you click on the girl's picture and the evidence seems to be there.

I think you are right to be wary as people would be quite capable of doing unscrupulous made-up spams like this.

I've had an awful lot of spam lately...the they're ones who want to tell me their life stories... :0
I have had to be ruthless as my day would be spent responding..
I think this could be genuine..but I'm not an expert...

your art work has an Islamic flavour to it John :)

People closer to home will give.
There is plenty of money in Poland. This is not a good way of raising money, even if we are sure it is straight up - if she gets in the local paper they will find the money and there are charities aplenty for just these cases over here in Europe.

Too many people do exploit such methods.

To salve your conscience give to a young down and out and don't question what they will spend the money on.
Like the art.
Are you well?

If that appeal is true the person doing it is making an error of judgement, publishing the details of a bank account, seemingly someone else's bank account all over the internet.
Did you send money in the end? Or just feel torn and disturbed?

I sent no money - I am cold and broke. Had to bail out the American ecoonomy.
