Midtown
On 53rd Street there used to be a public library branch that was closed down about two years ago due to budget cuts. Its claim to fame was having the old battered original Winnie the Pooh dolls owned by the author of the books - including Pooh and Piglet.
Currently they are gutting the building and they are using scaffolding to protect pedestrians. This creates a cavern of subdued light good for the new Blackberry camera. What they are building here is a mystery.
Below is another picture from Chicago, taken on State Street in the Loop. In the foreground, past the subject, is another scaffold.
