"hos.tas"
Taken in late fall as hosta leaves weakened and yellowed. Hostas are among my favorite shade plants - I have about fifteen varieties. Small version for publishing here.
love the linear quality and lush colour.... looks like your family had a wonderful Christmas day.... judging by their faces.... gorgeous photos :) we didn't put a tree up this year as we have boxes everywhere atm.. looking forward to our move on the 9th Jan....polished timber floors and beach views to replace the lake and trees ;) have a great New Year John.... xxx
Patterns that could be from the sunroom from the house in Freeport where I grew up. But we didn't have hostas. Lots of patterns of leaves but truly I remember the patterns more than the real things. Could it be we didn't have plants? Oh dear, I must call my sister and find the reality of that memory. Maybe it's why I love convening with trees now.
Bellmore, Wantagh, Massapequa, Massapequa Park... is that your train line?

ooh - they look almost like watermelons.
slugs and snails love hostas, so no chance in my garden. Where do you grow your hostas? Do you have a garden?

Hostas are beautiful plants. We can't have them here. I remember them from my dad's house in Brooklyn. I didn't realize there were so many varieties.
This manipulation reminds me of a Mexican fan palm. We have those here.
Hope you have some time off and don't need to scurry back to work on Monday.
